Iran: Families of Ashraf and Liberty residents condemned in clerical regime’s sham trials

Henchmen of mullahs’ judiciary have lately condemned three political prisoners in a sham trial. Mr. Nasser Sodagary,56, and his wife Tahereh Pour Rostam were condemned to five years in prison and ten years of exile in Zahedan and their son Pouyan Sodagary, a 24 year old student, was condemned to six years in prison and six years of exile in Kerman.

These three political prisoners that some of their relatives are PMOI members at Camp Liberty were arrested on May 1, 2011 and were taken under physical and psychological tortures from the very beginning to make false confessions and to participate in television interview shows. Mrs. Pour Rostam suffers from acute heart disease and Pouyan was injured during his arrest. Nasser Sodagary, is a political prisoner of 1980s and has many times faced aggressions of the revolutionary guards.
Dr. Hani Yazarloo, another political prisoner was condemned to one year in prison and ten years of exile. His wife Nazila Dashti and two sons, Hamed, 31 years old and a senior expert in aerospace engineering, and Houd, 25, have suffered years of imprisonment and torture in regime’s prisons since 2007 for visiting their relatives in Ashraf or having contact with them.
Ms. Moloud Safaii, another political prisoner, was condemned to five years in prison and five years of exile to Semnan for participating in the memorial ceremony of martyred political prisoners Ali Saremei, Ja’afar Kazemi and Mohsen Dogmechi. Hassan-ali Safaii, father of Moloud Safaii and a reputable merchant in Tehran Bazaar, and her husband Ebrahim Saeidi, were executed in 1981 for their support of the PMOI. A number of relatives of Ms. Safaii are residents of Camp Liberty.
