Iran: families arrested on the charge of supporting PMOI and Ashraf and Camp Liberty residents

On Monday, February 18, more family members of Ashraf and Liberty residents were apprehended by mullahs’ regime’s repressive forces. Some of the arrestees are:

–    Ms. Akram Sanjari and her son Milad Yazdan-Nejad, 15- Daughter of Ms. Sanjari is a resident of Camp Liberty. Her other  son, Misagh Yazdan-Nejad, 26 year old university student, was arrested earlier and sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment on the charges of visiting Ashraf   and meeting with his sister, and also for participation in the memorial ceremony of 1988 massacred political prisoners. He is currently under dire conditions in Gohardasht prison in Karaj suffering illness due to tortures and prison conditions.

–    Ms. Dina Karimi and her son Hanif, 16. Dina Karimi was among political prisoners in 80’s and her three brothers were executed by the mullahs’ regime for supporting PMOI. Ms. Karimi’s brother is a resident of Ashraf.

–    Aasef Rezaiian, 19, son of Mr. Taymour Rezaiian, among political prisoners of 80’s.

Further, two months after the apprehension of Mr. Reza Akbari and his son—whose family members are in Liberty—their whereabouts remain unknown. Her sister, Ms. Maryam Akbari Monfared, 38, mother of three young kids, was arrested on 31 December 2010 and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment. Mr. Akbari’s four sisters and brothers were put before fire squads by the mullahs’ regime.
