Iran: Cruel repression of workers by mullahs’ regime

Iran: Cruel repression of workers by mullahs' regimeNCRI – The mullahs’ regime has launched a widespread campaign to fire laborers working in factories in a number of Iranian cities including Ahwaz (south-west), Sarab (north-west), Birjand (north-east), and Bandar-Shapour (south).

In Sarab the mullahs’ regime has not paid workers’ wages for the past eight months and has either forced workers’ representatives to quit their jobs voluntarily or has fired them.

In Ahwaz workers’ wages and benefits have not been paid by the mullahs’ regime for the past six months under various pretexts.

In Bandar-Shapour the mullahs’ regime has refused to pay workers’ backwages and has fired protesting laborers.

In Berjand an official memo has been circulated to various organs of the regime stating that workers’ backwages should not be paid and those who protest must be fired regardless of their past record.

The Iranian Resistance calls on international labor organizations as well as human rights organizations to condemn the anti-labor policies of the mullahs’ regime.
