Iran: Creating Security Complexes a further step in suppression

NCRI – State Security Forces Chief Brig. Gen. Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghaddam announced, "In the near future, for every two districts in Tehran there will be one SSF Security Complex which will be comprised of police precincts, head precincts and security and intelligence sites," the state-run news agency Mehr reported on October 7. He made the announcement at the opening ceremony of the new headquarters of the SSF Intelligence Department. He admitted that SSF agents resort to torture and said, "Irregular methods should not be employed to uncover a crime. If a person confesses under torture or pressure, his confession is worthless."

Resorting to torture or "irregular methods" and creating "Security Complexes" are signs of the regime’s weakness in combating the increasing number of uprisings and demonstrations by the Iranian people.
