Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities Surpass 511,800

• Hormozgan Medical University: The proportion of hospitalized children with COVID-19 in the month of Bahman (The eleventh month in the Iranian calendar, beginning January 21 and ending February 19, 2022) has increased 100 times compared to the previous month. (ISNA, February 23, 2022)

• Ardabil Medical University: Omicron deaths will increase in the coming days, multiplying our concerns. (Mehr news agency, February 23, 2022)

• Kermanshah Medical University: Eleven COVID-19 patients died, and 126 new patients were admitted during the past 24 hours. (ISNA, February 23, 2022)

• Mashhad Medical University: 335 COVID-19 patients are admitted daily in Khorasan Razavi Province. Out of 1,145 COVID-19 patients, 267 are in the ICU. (IRNA news agency, February 23, 2022)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities has exceeded 511,800. The number of victims in Tehran has passed 119,855, Khorasan Razavi 41,065, Isfahan 35,540, Khuzestan 30,825, Fars 19,590, West Azerbaijan 19,258, Mazandaran 18,410, Gilan 17,645, Lorestan 16,770, Alborz 14,883, Sistan and Baluchestan 14,070, Kerman 13,902, Qom 13,700, Kermanshah 9,604, Hamedan 9,473, Central Province 9,313, Yazd 8,468, Kurdistan 8,402, Semnan 6,725, North Khorasan 6,613, Qazvin 6,084, Zanjan 4,935, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 3,960, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 3,884.
