The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, that the number of Coronavirus death toll in 465 cities exceeded 159,000. The number of victims in Tehran is 38,941, Isfahan 8,955, Lorestan 6,705, Qom 6,540, Mazandaran 6,472, East Azerbaijan 5,969, Gilan 5,496, West Azerbaijan 5,328, Fars 4,357, Alborz 4,310, Kermanshah 3,478, Central Province 3,018, Kurdistan 2,850, Yazd 2,767, Kerman 2,704, Ardabil 1,760, Qazvin 1,628, Zanjan 1,500, Ilam 1,485, South Khorasan 1,416, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,114.

A spokesperson for the regime’s Health Ministry was quoted by IRNA as saying today: “There is a lot of talk about statistics. Some of the increase in death toll may be due to chronic diseases, including heart disease, but people can get statistics from cemeteries. On some days when the death toll is high, the total number of fatalities, suspicious, and probable deaths due to Coronavirus could have reached four digits. I do not announce the probable and suspicious cases daily and rely on definite cases based on PCR tests. We are not basing our (policy) on hiding the statistics, and every day we try to add on the accuracy of the statistics. About 50 percent of COVID-19 patients admitted to the ICU die, and more than four out of every 10,000 patients become infected again.”
