Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 465 Cities Exceeds 175,600

Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: Tehran is still fragile. Undoubtedly, controlling the disease in the country is not possible without preventing its outbreak in Tehran. (Mehr news agency, December 3, 2020) 

• Ardabil University of Medical Sciences: The high number of hospitalizations continues. So far, we have not succeeded in reducing or cutting the virus transition chain in the Province. The ICU admission capacity is full, and these wards cannot respond to the high number of critically ill patients. (Mehr, December 3, 2020) 

• Shiraz University of Medical Sciences: The death toll today is 36, and the total has reached 2,561. (State TV, December 3, 2020) 

• In Mazandaran, these days, we are witnessing an increase in COVID-19 patients. (ISNA, December 3, 2020)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, December 3, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 465 cities had exceeded 175,600. The number of victims in Tehran is 43,311, Khorasan Razavi 12,325, Isfahan 10,085, Khuzestan 9,270, East Azerbaijan 6,953, West Azerbaijan 6,540, Gilan 5,836, Fars 5,082, Alborz 4,690, Golestan 4,442, Hamedan 4,350, Kerman 3,569, Central Province 3,498, Yazd 3,097, North Khorasan 2,733, Semnan 2,574, Ardabil 2,022, Ilam 1,840, and South Khorasan 1,591.
