The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on September 4, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 410 cities across Iran had passed 98,900. The number of victims in Tehran is 24,055, Isfahan 4,475, Lorestan 4,355, Alborz 2,813, Fars 2,781, Semnan 1,297, Ilam 840, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 697.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said: Millions of students are sent to schools at a time when there the slightest possibility of protecting students from the Coronavirus are non-existent, especially in schools that under normal circumstances often lack the minimum health facilities. The reopening of schools without the necessary and adequate guarantees will lead to a new wave of Coronavirus outbreak and the death of many of our students and compatriots. Khamenei and the clerics, who do not want to pay the price of resolving the issue in a scientific way and according to the experts’ views, are sending the students to Coronavirus killing ground. This is a continuation of the criminal policy, based on which they sent workers and the impoverished to work during the Coronavirus outbreak and arranged for Muharram mourning ceremonies.

Mrs. Rajavi advised the parents of the students, especially young students, to act in such a way that the possibility of transmission to the students and their families is reduced to a minimum.
