Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 408 Cities Exceeds 96,500

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK), announced on Saturday, August 29, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 408 cities across Iran, had exceeded 96,500. The number of victims in Khorasan Razavi is 6,875, Khuzestan 6,467, Isfahan 4,349, Lorestan 4,167, Gilan 3,998, Sistan and Baluchestan 3,032, East Azerbaijan 2,820, Alborz 2,773, West Azerbaijan 2,649, Hamedan 2,458, Kerman 1,543, Hormozgan 1,284, Bushehr 1,187, Ardabil 1,142, Zanjan 919, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 677.

Abdulreza Mesri, a regime parliament deputy from Kermanshah, told Etemad Online, today, “I am 100 percent opposed to dragging children to school and endangering them. Kermanshah and several other provinces should not become laboratories. My request to the government is to pay serious attention to not use Kermanshah as a white zone or a place to experiment in reopening schools, like a laboratory, and Later, to present it as a successful experience. They will be forced to hide the fatalities. In such a case, I think it will be premeditated murder … If we rush and the children contract Coronavirus, I do not consider that recklessness, and I believe that we are deliberately and intentionally committing murder.” (Etemad Online, September 29)
