Director of regime’s health services in Borujerd: 50 percent of Iranian people on the verge of contracting Coronavirus, three to four percent of which will die, i.e., one to two million people

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, June 28, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 340 cities across Iran exceeded 62,100. The number of victims in Khorasan Razavi is 3,725, Mazandaran 2,895, Sistan and Baluchestan 2,030, West Azerbaijan 1,690, Kermanshah 1,535, Hamedan 1,362, Fars 1,285, Kurdistan 1,270, Yazd 794, Hormozgan 595, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 405.
A spokesperson for the regime’s Health Ministry said in a statement that 144 people had died in the past 24 hours, the highest in 85 days and that 2,946 patients are placed under intensive care, the highest number in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the head of the Health Ministry’s Center for Infectious Diseases Management told the state-run daily, Aftab, on June 28, “Today, patients identified with Coronavirus outside the hospitals are ten times those identified in hospitals … It is unpredictable what will happen if Coronavirus were to coincide with the flu in the cold season.”
After months of lying and cover-up, Rouhani said today, “Almost six months have passed since the beginning of the outbreak. There is no vaccine and no cure for this disease; it may take another three months to a year. So, we have to prepare ourselves for the long term.” While in late February, Rouhani had said that the issue would be resolved by Saturday, February 29, he brazenly added, “I said from the first week of the outbreak that we should live with this virus for a long time, adapt ourselves and prepare for it … We have not had such a disease in our country’s history, at least not in the past century or for 140 years ago.”
In Tehran, the deputy head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) told the state-run news agency, Mehr, Today, “We don’t have any virus-free hospitals, and all the hospitals are involved in terms of Coronavirus.” Regarding the implementation of the traffic plan, Tehran’s Governor, told PANA news agency, yesterday, “In case of the continued increase in infection in Tehran, new decisions would be made.”
In Lorestan, director of Borujerd’s Health Network said, “Our field estimate is that 20 percent of the city’s population is infected. Fifty percent of Iranian people are on the verge of contracting Coronavirus, three to four percent of which will die, i.e., one to two million people… The mortality rate in the country is 4.7 percent, in Province, it’s 3.6 percent, and in the city, it’s 2.8 percent,” reported Javan website, today.
In Fars, the state-run news agency IRNA reported yesterday, “The number of those infected in Shiraz, Marvdasht, Kazeroun, Darab, Abadeh, Zarindasht, Lamerd, Kavar, Mamasani, Eqlid, Estahban, Larestan, Gerash, Fasa, Jahrom, and Evaz is in three digits. Many of them had two-digit figures two weeks ago.”
In Qom, the president of the Medical Sciences University told IRNA today, “Those testing positive had increased from 15 to 45 percent. This has raised the alarm bells for the renewed spread of the virus… In the next two weeks, we will face another peak in the virus. In addition to Kamkar Hospital, we have prepared other hospitals to receive Coronavirus patients.”
In Hormozgan, the president of the Medical Sciences University reported a 55-percent positive rate for testing and emphasized, “The actual number of those infected is more than the officially-announced figures,” according to the state TV news agency yesterday. In Qeshm, “The number of those infected has reached more than 1,000 from 50 back on May 15, 2020. So far, 10 of them have died,” he added.
In Zanjan, the president of the Medical Sciences University was quoted by Mehr news agency as saying yesterday, “In the past 10 days, the Province’s active patient identification has reached 1,000 patients from the previous figure of 400… If this situation continues, serious dangers await the residents of Zanjan.”
In Khuzestan, the Coronavirus HQ spokesman told Rouydad 24 on June 28, “Hospital beds in the Province are 85 percent full and new decisions need to be made.” Javan quoted the president of the Medical Sciences University in Abadan as saying yesterday, “In the past 24 hours, 277 patients were hospitalized. Forty are in intensive care. Abadan, Khorramshahr and Shadegan are still in a red state, and we again requested [the imposition of] restrictions. The director of the Health and Treatment Network in Bandar Mahshahr told Fars news agency yesterday, “The red state in the Province and the city caused us to declare an emergency… The number of severely ill due to the virus has increased, and fewer beds are being emptied.”
In Sistan and Baluchistan, the vice president of the Medical Sciences University in Zahedan reported 10 deaths in the Province in the past 24 hours and told state-run TV news agency today, “Last night, all beds in Zahden were occupied.”
In Kerman, the president of the Medical Sciences University told Fars news agency on June 28, that hospitalizations and deaths had increased between 70 to 100 percent this month.
In West Azerbaijan, Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi was quoted by Shabakeh Khabar as saying today, “Urmia, Oshnavieh, Bukan, Piranshahr, Takab, Sadasht, Salmas, Mahabad, Miandoab, Naqadeh, and Khoy are in a state of red.”
The State Television reported yesterday that in Isfahan, “With the rapid trend of hospitalizations, the city has entered another critical phase of the disease. In Khorshid Hospital, patients are hospitalized in corridors.”
