Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 476,800

Member of the Scientific Committee of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): The number of COVID-19 patients is still high, but vaccination has not yet reached its desired level. (State-run media, Rouydad 24, November 16, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities had exceeded 476,800. In Tehran the death toll has reached 111,825, Khorasan Razavi 38,915, Isfahan 32,585, Khuzestan 29,065, West Azerbaijan 17,753, Fars 17,610, Mazandaran 17,430,  Gilan 16,595, Kerman 12,752, Hamedan 8,868, Hormozgan 7,950, North Khorasan 6,063, Ardabil 5,980, and Zanjan 4,505.
