Alireza Reisi, the spokesperson for the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): The Coronavirus infection is still on the rise in Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces. Kerman and Bushehr need to be much more careful. (ISNA news agency, June 12, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, June 12, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities across Iran had exceeded 310,400. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 72,736, Isfahan 20,825, Khuzestan 19,481, Khorasan Razavi 18,870, Lorestan 12,340, Mazandaran 12,315, Fars 10,377, Gilan 10,366, Qom 9,740, Sistan and Baluchestan 7,211, Kerman 6,953, Hormozgan 4,120, Ardabil 3,850, Qazvin 3,589, and Bushehr 3,259.

As more and more people fall victim to the Coronavirus because of the regime’s inhuman policies, Hassan Rouhani brazenly claimed today that his government “has been unrivaled in Iran’s history from the time of Achaemenid Empire in providing health care .” Trying to cover up forging fake COVID-19 figures, he added, “From the day we found out that the virus entered the country, there was not a moment’s hesitation in publicizing the information. Based on the same international standard, we announced the death toll accurately, daily, and without interruption. This was transparent and is one of the greatest honors of this Government and the Health Ministry.”
