The number of deaths in the first four months of the Iranian year (beginning March 21) is twice the same period last year and before COVID-19 outbreak
- Deputy Health Minister: 50% of ICU bed are allotted to COVID-19 patients. If the trend increases, we will have to add more capacity to provide services for COVID-19 patients nationwide (ISNA, October 30, 2020).

- Deputy Health Minister, Iraj Harirchi: The number of hospitalizations in Yazd Province shows a vertical upward trend. This is extremely dangerous (State radio and television news agency, October 30, 2020).
- Ilam University of Medical Sciences: 70% of COVID-19 deaths are among those with no pre-existing conditions (Tasnim news agency, October 30, 2020).
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced this afternoon, Friday, October 30, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities has surpassed 137,200 in 460 cities across Iran. The death toll includes: 33,261 in Tehran, 10,312 in Khorasan Razavi, 7,604 in Isfahan, 5,156 in Gilan, 4,027 in West Azerbaijan, 3,805 in Alborz, 3,670 in Hamedan, 3,608 in Fars, 2,953 in Kermanshah, 2,195 in Kerman, 2,171 in Yazd, 2,042 in Central Province, 2,037 in Semnan, 1,602 in Bushehr, 1,378 in Qazvin, and 994 in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad.
Seifollah Abutorabi, the spokesman for the Office of the Registrar, told ISNA today that in the first four months of the Iranian years, (beginning on March 21, 2020, and ending on July 21), some 241,598 people (1,950 daily) have died. Earlier, the regime’s officials had put the number of deaths before the COVID-19 outbreak at 1,000 daily.
Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi was quoted by Javan daily on September 23, as saying, “Before COVID-19 outbreak, the number of death was 1,000 to 10,50 daily and 380,000 for the entire year. According to the figures given by the Registrar’s Office, the number of deaths in 2018 was about 375,000, or 1,028 daily, according to Hamshahri daily on October 30, 2020. As such, since the beginning of March 21, until early July, on average 900 have died daily and 112,000 since late July.
