NCRI – Clashes between people and the agents of Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) as well as Special Units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the cities of southern province of Bushehr such as Shabankareh, Borazjan, Saad Abad and Poshtkoh entered a new phase. Plain-cloths agents of MOIS riding on motorcycles roamed the streets beating up and arresting local residents.

The suppressive agents of the IRGC Special Units carrying nightsticks and fire arms — riding on motorbikes — attacked the people in the neighborhoods of the cities in Bushehr province. Some senior citizens were among the injured.

On Saturday night, the IRGC Special Units arrested 15 people in Borazjan and 10 others in Shabankareh including 7 women and teenage girls. There is an undeclared martial law in effect in Shabankareh.

On Sunday, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, in a message to the residents of the western province of Lorestan and southern province of Bushehr lauded them for their standing up against the suppressive mullahs' regime.

She called on youths in other cities in particular those living in the western province of Lorestan and southern province of Bushehr to support their compatriots.

Mrs. Rajavi also called on international human rights organizations to condemn the barbaric suppression of people in those cites. The crackdown has caused injuries to a number of local residents. A number of protesters were arrested by the suppressive forces. She called for necessary measures to be adopted by the international organization to free the detainees.
