Iran: Authorities refuse to hand over corpses of those killed in clashes, prevent mourning

Nationwide uprising in Iran – Statement 22

NCRI – The henchmen of the regime refuse to respond to enquiries by families of those who were wounded or killed during recent uprisings. The authorities refuse to hand over corpses of dead to their families unless they pay for the bullet used to kill their loved ones.

The suppressive forces raid houses of families of those who were killed in recent clashes and threaten them not to mourn and if they did, they would be arrested.

Yesterday evening, motorcyclists of the Special Guard attacked a house in northwest Tehran where mourning was held for one of the victims of recent clashes. The assailants took some of the people with them to an unknown location.
