Iran: At least 10 protestors killed and hundreds injured

Anti-government protest in IranMrs. Rajavi calls for formation of international mission to investigate the deaths and arrests

NCRI – In yet another criminal act, agents of the Revolutionary Guards on Monday afternoon killed at least one protestor in Tehran and injured many others.

Suppressive forces killed a number of other protestors in Tehran and other cities over the past 48 hours. The social department of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced that at least 10 people have been killed during the protests.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, consoled the relatives of the protestors who were killed in recent days. She called on the Iranian people to come to the support of the relatives of the martyrs and those detained.

She reiterated it is high time the UN Security Council recognizes the will of the Iranian people to establish democracy and depose the regime with all its factions, and condemns its crimes.

Mrs. Rajavi urged the UN Secretary General, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other human rights organizations to set up an international fact-finding mission to investigate the deaths and arrests in the course of the nationwide uprising by the Iranian people against the religious fascism ruling Iran.
