Iran: A prisoner hanged in public and three others are on death row

NCRI – A prisoner was hanged in public in northern city of Astaneh Ashrafieh, the state-run television reported yesterday.

On Monday, the mullahs’ regime will hanged three other young men aged 24, 27 and 28, in the city of Saveh, south of Tehran, the state-run daily Etemad-Meli reported on August 15. According to the daily, the three have no criminal records and there have been no complaints filed against them by local residents.

Fifty local shopkeepers signed a petition rejecting the charges against the youths and insisted that the sentences should be lifted. They reiterated that the three were not involved in any immoral wrong doing.
Iranian Resistance once again calls on international human rights organizations, High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Secretary General and the Security Council to condemn arbitrary executions in Iran and adopt specific measures to stop ongoing executions in Iran.
