Iran: A female Kurdish political prisoner on the verge of execution

Hanging a women prisoner in IranNCRI – The mullahs' regime has sentenced to death a female Kurdish political prisoner, Zeinab Jalalian, accused of ‘waging war against God.’ The sentence, delivered in a trial that lasted only few minutes in the absence of a lawyer and a fair judicial process, has also been approved by the regime's Supreme Court.

Zeinab, 27, coming from Maku (Western Azerbaijan), was interned for eight months in torture chambers of the regime’s notorious Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS.) She is now in Sanandaj prison and on the verge of execution. She is in a poor state of health as a result of tortures. The clerical authorities refuse her medical attention and visits with her family.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all human rights organizations, the UN High Commissioner for human rights and women's rights organizations to condemn the wave of arbitrary arrests, torture and execution of women in Iran and the medieval state of prisons in Iran. It urges them to take urgent and binding measures to stop executions, especially that of Zeinab Jalalian.
