Iran: 28 year old man hanged in Isfahan

Hanging nooseThe number of executions since the beginning of 2009 has reached 165

NCRI – Mostafa Kiani, 28, was hung in central prison of Isfahan (Dastgerd) on May 5, after two years of incarceration.

On Monday, Seyed  Reza Atharnia, 32,  was hanged  in Ardebil's Prison after six years imprisonment.

Eight other prisoners were also hung on Saturday, May 2, in Taybad Prison in Khorasan province, northeastern Iran.

Bijan Khalili from Kerman, eastern Iran, and Habib B., 23, were hung on April 29 and April 20 respectively in central prison of Isfahan. The later was hung after 4.5 months imprisonement.

The number of executions since the beginning of 2009 has reached 165.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, especially the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to condemn the deplorable human rights situation in Iran and adopt immediate and binding measures to stop suppressive policies of the clerical regime.
