In the run up to December 7, Student Day, pressure on students has increased

NCRI – In the run up to Student Day on December 7, in fear of increasing students’ demonstrations and protests, the inhuman mullahs’ regime has intensified suppressive measures.

The regime’s suppressive forces have barred some students from enrolling in graduate schools despite their academic eligibility. The process of so called “marking” dissident students has been stepped up; it is a way to stop them from continuing their higher education.

Separately, after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s trip to northwestern province of Kurdistan, several students at Kurdistan University, due to their protests against him were prevented from continuing their education.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all international organizations and bodies that advocate human rights and freedom of speech, and on all student associations and unions throughout the world, to condemn the suppression of students in Iran and support the Iranian students’ protests.
