Further suppressive measures to combat growing public discontent

NCRI – The commander of the State Security Forces (SSF) in Tehran Province Brig. Gen. Reza Zarei admitted to the weakness of the mullahs’ regime in dealing with growing trend of public uprisings in the province and called on the regime’s other suppressive organs to step up assistance, warning that if other “organs do not work in close cooperation with the SSF in implementing the plans, we stand to lose.”

He called for suppression of the people, especially women and youths, stating, “In implementing the chastity plan, we would not have any success”, because these measures are insufficient for “mannequins and people not compiling with the dress code as well as some obscene acts by girls and boys in public places.”

Zarei sought the complete “demolition” of neighborhoods as the solution for neutralizing the volatile state in certain districts of Tehran such as Beecheh in the south.
