Call to save the lives of striking political prisoners

NCRI – Iranian Resistance warns against dangers facing political prisoners who are on hunger strike, including Ms. Nasrin Sotoudeh, lawyer of political prisoners, and Mr. Reza Shahabi, a member of the Tehran Bus Company Syndicate,  and called on all international agencies and human rights organizations to take urgent measure to investigate their conditions and those of other political prisoners in the mullahs’ regime’s dungeons.

 

The striking prisoners who areon hunger strike to protest violation of their basic rights and inhumane conditions in prisons and are in critical condition.

Ms. Sotoudeh, mother of three year and ten year old children, has been in solitary confienment in ward 209 of Evin prison since she was arrested on 5 September 2010. The mullahs’ judiciary has accused her of “acting against the country’s national security and propagating against the regime”. Mr. Shahabi has been transferred to Evin prison clinic because of his critical health condition. He has been imprisoned in ward 209 of Evin prison for more than 6 months.
