Ayatollah tortured in ward 209 of Evin Prison

NCRI – On October 7, 2006, the State Security Forces (SSF) attacked Ayatollah Sid Hossein Kazemaini Boroujerdi’s residence and arrested him together with a number of his followers in west Tehran. They were transferred to the notorious Evin Prison.

Ayatollah Boroujerdi has served in ward 209 of the prison where he has been subjected to severe physical and mental torture by his prison guards. Currently he is suffering from Parkinson, Diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. The mullahs’ regime refuses to provide the necessary medical treatment he desperately needs.
The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations and the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion to condemn the regime’s suppressive actions against the political prisoners and take urgent measures to free them.
