Another suppressive force formed in Iran

NCRI – The chief of State Security Forces (SSF) in Tehran Brig. Gen. Morteza Talai announced the formation of a new suppressive security apparatus called "Metro Police", the state-run news agency Fars reported on September 28.

He said, "The force will begin its duty when training is completed. Further technical training for this force will take place gradually over a period of time."

From the start of the year, this has been the eighth police force which has been set up to suppress popular uprisings and demonstrations. The previous forces are as follows: District Police, Youth Police, Dormitory Police, Undercover Police, Mountain Police, Mehr Police and School Police. The purpose of these forces is to combat the volatile state of the society. According to polls more than 95 percent of the Iranian people despise the mullahs’ regime and want a regime change.
