Urgent call on UN, US to remove unexploded shells from Camp Liberty

NCRI – The Iranian Resistance warns about the danger of unexploded shells still remaining in Liberty. For the third day in a row, despite repeated contacts and requests by the residents, they have not been removed and are endangering the lives of the residents.

Families, the Iranian community, lawyers of the residents and the NCRI urge for immediate measures to be taken by the United States, Secretary General and the High Commissioner for Refugees in this regard to save the lives of refugees.

The deadly missile attack on Camp Liberty on Saturday, June 15, has killed at least two Iranian dissident and had injured 70 residents as registered at the Iraqi clinic in the camp by an Iraqi doctor.

So far as many as 34 points of impact have been identified in the camp near Baghdad airport that houses over 3,000 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Iraq.
