The new plot of the mullahs’ regime and its Iraqi agents to confiscate Ashraf residents’ property

The inhuman mullahs’ regime, through its puppets in Iraq, is trying to use its agents in Iraqi judiciary to confiscate Ashraf residents’ property.  According to received information, the plan for this plot has been given by terrorist Quds force and the mullahs’ regime Ambassador to Iraq to the Ashraf suppression committee in Iraqi Prime Ministry.

This is while providing minimum humanitarian needs for the transfer of residents to Liberty, including the sale of movable and immovable properties has gained the widespread support of US, European, Arab and Iraqi political leaders, parliamentary groups and jurists.

The Vice President of the European Parliament and the President of the international committee of In Search of Justice, on behalf of 4000 parliamentarians and citing eight minimum requirements of the residents, declared: “We strongly believe that continuation and completion of relocation must be done after these minimums are met.” ISJ in its detailed report to the Security Council wrote: “transferring or selling all their moveable or immoveable assets- which have been estimated to worth 500 million dollars- is a necessary condition for leaving Ashraf and closing it.”

The US Congressmen expressed on July 25: “We are seriously concerned that Iraq may be exerting pressure on liberty residents to make life miserable at the behest of Tehran in order to force them to submit to Tehran or abandon their opposition to the Iranian regime.” They also urged their government to make “immediate and active intervention to compel the Iraqi Government to meet its commitments and provide the minimum requirements asked by the residents before any additional relocation of Ashraf residents to Camp Liberty.”

Struan Stevenson, President of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Iraq, on behalf of senior members of the European Parliament wrote on July 25, 2012 to the EU officials that until these minimum requirements are met, “We cannot urge the final transfer of the remaining 1200 Ashraf residents into these appalling conditions in Liberty.”

The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom, who enjoys the support of the majority of the House of Commons and more than 200 Peers, wrote on July 25th that Mr. Kobler “in his latest roadmap sets no specific date for connecting Camp Liberty to the national electricity grid or water works” and the fact that ” Iraq has prevented the Ashraf residents from selling any of their fixed or moveable properties” has been ignored. Therefore “the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom advises the remaining 1,300 Camp Ashraf residents not to relocate to Camp Liberty until the camp comes under UN mandate and Iraq implements the minimum humanitarian requirements.”

Dr. Saleh Mutlaq, Iraqi deputy Prime Minister, stated on July 28, “Ashraf residents should not be transferred to camp Liberty by force… we condemn pressuring them to give up their rights … I urge the United Nations to wait for their transfer until a decent living condition for them is provided for them in Liberty.”
