Several large scale explosions near Liberty

On Wednesday, April 10, at 11 PM local time, several large scale explosions near Liberty created severe anxiety among the residents. The case is under investigation.

Mullah Heydar Moslehi, the Minister of Intelligence of the clerical regime during his trip to Baghdad and meeting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri-al-Maliki and his national security adviser urged them to increase pressure on the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. He also asked for their expeditious expulsion from Iraq.

Two months after the February 9 rocket attack on Liberty, the Iraqi Government is prohibiting the minimum security measures that can reduce the vulnerability of the camp and its residents such as preventing the return of 17,500 protective T-walls and transfer of helmets and bullet-proof vests of the residents. In a report to Khamenei’s office regarding his meetings, Moslehi had written that Maliki and Falleh al-Fayaz have promised to prevent such security measures.

The Iranian Resistance warns against future attacks on Liberty and urges the United Nations and the U.S. Government to immediately transfer all residents to Ashraf which is more secure in face of such attacks.
