Most of 36 PMOI members taken hostage by Iraqi forces are in critical state on 35th day of hunger strike
Hunger strikers in Ashraf, Washington, Ottawa, London, Berlin, The Hague and Stockholm complete their fifth week of protest

NCRI – The 36 PMOI members, who have been taken hostage by the Iraqi forces, are spending their 35th day of hunger strike in painful conditions.

They are all extremely weak and most of them are under Intravenous therapy. Due to deteriorating problems with digestive system and severe weakness and inability in taking fluids, Mehdi Abdolrahimi, Hasan Besharati, and Gholamreza Khorrami are in critical conditions.

Abbas Fili, Mohammad Reza Hooshmand and Hamid Ashtari are suffering from throat infection and problems with their digestive system, acute rheumatism and asthmatic bronchitis and their conditions are deteriorating.

In the meantime, the hunger strike by PMOI members in Ashraf City and Iranians and supporters of the Resistance in Washington, Ottawa, London, Berlin, The Hague, and Stockholm is entering its sixth week while the condition of some of the hunger strikers is critical and has been taken to hospital.
