Martin Kobler sends his special agent to Camp Liberty for more false reports

NCRI – On the eve of the UN Security Council session on Iraq scheduled for July 16, Martin Kobler has sent his special agent, Masoud Dorrani, to Camp Liberty since July 9 in order to provide ammunition for his last presence at the Council.

By taking provocative measures and fabricating shameful lies against residents and misleading the international community in the session and setting the stage for another massacre in Liberty, Martin Kobler is to offer his final services to the Iranian regime and the Iraqi government.

Before the missile attack of June 15, Dorrani used to roam around Liberty and engage in psychological torture of the residents, but questionably he did not go to Liberty since the morning of the attack.

In recent days Dorrani has been actively filming various people, equipment and places by actively going after them. This is while his concern does not relate to the missile attack. The residents have repeatedly said that they are suspicious of his photography and filming. Many of the places that he had photographed before were targeted in June 15 missile attack.

He has close relationship with the trio of Sadeq Mohammad Kazem, Major Ahmad Khozeir, and Captain Haydar Azab from the Iraqi Intelligence. All three have direct responsibility for Ashraf massacres and Sadeq and Hayadar have been summoned by the Spanish court for this purpose.

He has always been supporting suppressive measures and imposed restrictions by the Iraqi committee in charge of suppression of the residents at the Iraq’s Prime Minister office. On July 9, one of the female residents who has cancer and was transferred to a hospital in Baghdad, according to the specialist should have been hospitalized urgently but the Iraqi forces on the order of Ahmad Khozeir returned the patient forcibly to Liberty.

The representatives of the residents called Dorrani while the patient was in hospital, to intervene and prevent the return of the patient back, but he hideously said you are lying and the patient does not need to be hospitalized. After the return of the patient, due to her critical condition and the Iraqi doctor’s protest, they returned her back to hospital at night.

Today when the representatives of the residents protested the lack of transfer of some equipment from Ashraf to Camp Liberty to replace damaged items of the missile attack, Dorrani shamefully sided with the Iraqis and said the residents had not shown the damaged equipment to the Iraqis. This is while last week these items had been shown to both the Iraqi police and the representative of the Iraqi committee in charge of suppression of the residents and they had even taken photos of them and the replacement equipment were also ready in Ashraf since a while ago.

On May 27, eighteen prominent European and American figures including 10 legislators who had visited Ashraf once or more prior to the Iraqi forces’ siege on Ashraf, wrote about Martin Kobler’s special agents, “Hence, the monitors who were originally supposed to protect the rights of the residents from Iraqi forces’ transgressions were regrettably employed as collaborators of prison wardens to psychologically torture the residents. One of them is an Afghan called Massoud Dorrani who was brought along with him to Iraq from Afghanistan. Neither Dorrani’s administrative rank nor his background qualifies him to occupy this position.

U.S. Colonel Wesly Martin, who used to be in charge of Ashraf security in 2005, prepared a detailed report titled as ‘INVESTIGATIVE REPORT concerning Camp Liberty Residents’ Allegations Against UNAMI Monitor Massoud Durrani’ dated 31 May 2013. In its ‘Summary’, he writes,

“Massoud Durrani is a problem. His behavior against the residents adds further strain on 3,100 who have enduring enormous physical and mental torture since the Iraqi government assumed security responsibilities of the MeK population”.

The repor adds “Massoud Durrani needs to be immediately removed from position and released from his duties with the United Nations” and “United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Under Secretary for Political Affairs Ambassador Jeffrey Feldman should immediately stop considering Martin Kobler as a reliable source of information and instead order an independent investigation into the behavior of Martin Kolber and Massoud Durrani. The problem here would be to find an honest investigation team within the United Nations”.
