2000 Iraqi Forces Have Prepared to Attack Ashraf
NCRI – The number of Iraqi forces prepared for an attack on Ashraf under orders of al-Maliki has surpassed 2000. Of this number, 1200 have been sent to Ashraf on Thursday 7 April, between 17:00 pm until 1 am, 8 April.
The commander of this brutal attack is Lieutenant General Ali Gheidan, the commander of Iraqi infantry army.
Some of the forces present at the scene are, 1st Squadron of 21st Brigade from 5th Division, 3rd Squadron of 37th Brigade from 9th Division, 4th Commando Squadron of 18 Brigade from 5th Division, A Company from the Commando Squadron of 5th Division, an engineering unit from 5th Division, a military police unit from 5th Division, a Company of anti-riot police and others. Also medical units of 5th Division including 13 ambulances and 30 doctors and nurses have now been stationed in Ashraf.
Lieutenant General Ali Gheidan, the commander of the infantry forces, Major General Zia, commander of 5th Division, Major General Tariq Al-Azawy, operations commander of Diyala, Brigadier General Jamil, operations deputy commander of Diyala, and tens of colonels have been stationed in Ashraf.
