Camp Ashraf – Breach of pledges, No. 17

NCRI – The Committee for repression of Ashraf in the Iraqi Prime Minister’s office banned a tanker carrying kerosene from entering Ashraf on Thursday January 19. The kerosene was purchased by the residents for domestic uses such as cooking and heating.

In the winter cold, repressive Iraqi forces prevent all sorts of fuel even biomass and coal from entering Ashraf.  Since twelve months, no permission has been issued for gasoline to enter the camp, while diesel fuel is banned since seven months.

The objective sought by hardening the inhuman siege of Ashraf as well as increasing repressive measures by the Iraqi government is to force the residents to accept involuntary relocation and prison-like conditions of camp Liberty.
