Iraqi protesters: Maliki must release 7 Iranian dissidents hostage abducted from Camp Ashraf

Iraqi citizens who came to streets on Friday in a number of cities in Iraq to protest against the government Nouri Maliki and the Iranian regime’s meddling in the affairs of their country, demanded the immediate release of the seven residents of Camp Ashraf who were taken hostage by Iraqi forces on September 1.

In the demonstrations that were covered by Iraqi TV channels as well as other Arabic languages TV channels insloding Al Tagheer TV, Al Gharbiya TV and Al Jazeera Live, participants raised carried signs that read: “Maliki’s government must release the seven hostages abducted from Camp Ashraf.”

Some signs read: “The blood of Camp Ashraf martyrs, and the blood of every PMOI member that is shed, adds yet another shining page in the history of freedom and equality. Victory is near, especially when hearts beat for it.”
