Iraqi government continues to harass Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty

camp-liberty-missile2The Iraqi forces stationed at Camp Liberty, housing Iranian dissidents in Iraq, on Monday prevented the entry of items purchased by the residents to patch up and repair the temporary housing trailers damaged during the latest missile attack on the camp.

The measure was carried out on the orders by Major Ahmed Khozair, affiliated with a committee at the Iraqi Prime Ministry tasked with suppression of Iranian dissidents in Iraq.

The Iraqi forces prevented the entry of seven plastic nylon rolls purchased by the residents to patch up holes in temporary housing trailers.

Although the purchase of the items had been approved last week in the camp’s management meeting, the Iraqi forces sent away the merchants delivering the items.

Moreover, in the past two days, Iraqi forces obstructed entry of items needed for repairs and maintenance services of water pipes including work gloves.

In view of repeated and written commitments by the U.S. government and United Nations concerning safety and security of Camp Liberty residents, the Iranian Resistance demands immediate intervention to end the anti-human siege and to expel criminal operatives such as Major Ahmed Khozair from the camp.

The sole purpose of presence of these elements in Camp Liberty is to harass the residents and instigate bloody incidents such as those previously carried out in Camp Ashraf.
