Iraqi forces prevent the return of a trailer and a container belonging to Ashraf residents

NCRI – It has been 23 days since the Iraqi forces have been preventing the return of a trailer and its container belonging to Ashraf residents. This trailer and container have been sent to Liberty for the transport of the equipment necessary to compensate for losses resulting from the missile attacks on February 9.

After several months of delay and repeated calls of the residents to the United Nations and the Iraqi government, eventually on June 13 this trailer and container were allowed to transport some equipment to repair and compensate the losses of February 9 missile attack from Ashraf to Liberty.

Based on trilateral agreement between the Iraqi government, the residents and the UN, the trailer and container were supposed to return to Ashraf immediately. But after unloading in Liberty, on the order of the Iraq’s Prime Ministry the trailer has been stopped and the Iraqi forces prevent to return it and its container to Ashraf with various excuses. This action hints to their intention for stealing these items.
