Iraqi Forces Loot Ashraf Residents’ Properties

Ashraf – Breach of Obligations – N° 4

NCRI – On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (30,31 December 2011 and 1 January 2012),  Iraqi forces have been looting large sections of properties of the residents located in Mo’in building , north of the compound while dislodging them with various vehicles to other locations.
 
The compound had 400 residents before the April 8 assault, during which a number of residents were killed and injured and the building was occupied by Iraqi assailants. Iraqi forces forced the remaining residents to leave the compound with no right or opportunity to take their personal belongings and documents as well as their living items.

This compound had numerous facilities including personal items, furniture and living utensils, kitchen equipment, electrical appliances, cooling systems, warmers and vehicles, most of which have been looted or destroyed by the forces.
