Iranian regime orders Iraqi information network to wage maximum attack against Camp Ashraf residents

Iranian opposition’s Camp Ashraf attacked – Statement 66

The regime’s Supreme National Security Council orders the Iraqi information network to wage maximum attack against Ashraf residents and the PMOI

NCRI – According to reliable information from inside the clerical regime, the regime’s Supreme National Security Council has ordered the Iraqi information network to maximize its propaganda attacks against Ashraf residents and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). In the directive, the following points have been highlighted (while referring to the PMOI by the usual derogatory term “Monafeqin”):

1. In the current circumstances, the “Monafeqin” are working against the national securities of Iran and also Iraq and there must be maximum negative coverage against them in publications, and radio and TV programs.

2. With the suicide mentality that we find in the Monafeqin, it would not be unexpected if some of them have either harm themselves or have been killed by other Monafeqin elements, later blaming Iraqi forces.

3. It would be in the Iraqi government’s interests to declare that the “Monafeqin” must leave Iraq in a month. Otherwise, their presence would cast a shadow on the elections in Iraq and pro-Islamic Republic parties would suffer greatly.

4. Iraqis must realize that if the border with Iran becomes insecure, they cannot hope to consolidate their position in the country.
