All talks with the clerical regime to allow its involvement in Ashraf issue is totally unlawful and unacceptable

• Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to prohibit all UN agencies and staff to talk and deal with the religious fascism ruling Iran
regarding its opposition particularly about residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty.

NCRI – On return from Tehran and following the meetings with security officials of the clerical regime including Qasem Soleimani, chief of the terrorist Qods force, last night Maliki’s security advisor, Faleh Fayaz Al-Ameri, said on Iraqi state television that it is natural “to discuss the issue of the ‘terrorist’ organization of  Mojahedin with the Iranian party”. The security advisor added, “Mr. Martin Kobler, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Iraq, has talked in details with Iraqi and Iranian parties through the Iranian Embassy or other channels communicating with Iran in order to provide the requirements for implementation of the understanding which has been agreed on between him and Iraq to close camp Ashraf and put an end to the presence of this organization on Iraqi territory. Talks included the mechanisms and Iran’s role in what has to be done to solve this matter”.

Given the 120,000 political executions by inhumane mullahs regime in Iran, its major crime against humanity in mass murder of political prisoners and uninterrupted conspiracies and terrorist activities of the clerical rulers to annihilate its opposition particularly Ashraf residents is common knowledge. This regime has so far been condemned 58 times by the UN General Assembly and UN’s other bodies for appalling violation of fundamental human rights.

As Ashraf residents have repeatedly stated, Iranian Resistance condemns any talks with the religious dictatorship ruling Iran and its involvement in the case of People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran and Camp Ashraf. Such involvement is illegal, illegitimate, immoral, unacceptable  and in clear violation of international laws and conventions particularly those on refugee rights and Fourth Geneva Convention.  This is a red line that in no way should be crossed as it involves lives of thousands of defenceless refugees and their family members inside Iran.
Therefore, the Iranian Resistance strongly protests and warns the Government of Iraq and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General on any such matter and calls on the UN Secretary General to prohibit all UN agencies and staff to talk and deal with the religious fascism ruling Iran regarding its opposition particularly about residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty.

The former American generals and officers in charge of Ashraf protection in 2003-2009, have testified that during these years there has been no difficulty for those who would have liked to return to Iran.  Figures indicating the number of people who have returned to Iran have been published in reports by International Committee of Red Cross and there has not been a single case that has been prevented.  Accordingly, on December 28, 2011, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Iraq wrote to Camp Ashraf  residents: “Those Camp Ashraf residents who want to be repatriated immediately to Iran may use the current channels for doing so”. Moreover, nothing justifies the Iranian regime’s involvement in the case of Camp Ashraf  other than appeasing the mullahs ruling in Iran.
