Al-Maliki’s forces continue to loot properties in Camp Ashraf

Camp Ashraf military occupation – No. 59

Property stolen amount to over $9 million

NCRI – Nine days after the April 8 brutal attack on Camp Ashraf, Nouri al-Maliki’s repressive forces continue to steal and loot property of Camp Ashraf residents.

Based on initial estimations, the value of the residents’ property looted to date amounts to over $9 million. These properties include various trailers, different types of vehicles, motorcycles, electric generators, electric transformers and equipment, PBX telephone systems, large water containers, tents and other items. Details of the looted property will be reported subsequently.

The repressive forces are utilizing the looted property extensively to expand their battle positions in Camp Ashraf. Yesterday, they transferred and installed four trailers and tents belonging to Ashraf residents for their new positions inside the camp.

Reiterating that the theft of Ashraf residents’ property is considered a flagrant and serious violation of international conventions, which can be prosecuted and punished through relevant international bodies, the Iranian Resistance calls on the US government, the US Forces in Iraq and the UN representatives to take necessary measures for the stolen properties to be returned to the residents.
