Appeal to get the hostages release of hostages

NCRI – During the criminal attack of April 8, a number of wounded residents of Ashraf were taken hostage by Nouri Al-Maliki’s forces and were subsequently transferred out of Camp Ashraf.

During the last three days, a number of these hostages, who are held by Iraqi forces, have lost their lives due to lack of medical attention; they are included in the list of 33 deaths of the attack. The remaining 6 hostages are on hunger strike and their state of health is deteriorating; they are: Bahman Toloo, Mehdi Ghafouri, Hamid Makki, Hossein Eyni, Babak Karimi, and Asghar Mehdizadeh.

Ali Al-Yasseri of Maleki’s Office and head of the committee for suppression of Camp Ashraf, who is summoned by the Spanish Court for his crimes against international community, has personally interrogated the hostages at Khalis prison and has subjected them to pressures.

Emphasizing that in accordance with international law and subsequent to signing an agreement with each and every one of these individuals, the United States is responsible for their lives and wellbeing, the Iranian Resistance calls on American forces in Iraq, UN officials, the European Union, and all international human rights organizations to take immediate actions for the release of the hostages and saving of their lives.
