Mrs. Homa Roshanaei (Sadegh), the heroic mother of two distinguished PMOI martyrs, whose extraordinary resistance in the face of two dictatorships in Iran inspired all the families of the PMOI martyrs, passed away on Wednesday 19th of November, 2014.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, offered her condolences after the loss of this courageous mother, describing her as “the true voice of the Iranian women, whose memory will never die in the hearts and minds of all those who stood up to the injustice and the repression of the dictatorships in Iran, particularly to those families of the tortured and martyred political prisoners”.

Mrs. Sadegh, was known for her noble resistance during the Shah’s military courts in April, 1972, who not only did not give in to hardships when her beloved son was sentenced to death by the dictatorial regime, but she encouraged others to resist.

She became a symbol amongst all families of PMOI members who had lost their loved ones fighting dictatorships in Iran.

Mrs. Sadegh was among the most active for the cause of human rights in Iran for the past five decades and carried on her activities in support of PMOI, freedom and democracy in Iran until very recently, despite her age.

Mrs. Sadegh was the mother of two renowned PMOI members, Nasser and Hassan Sadegh, both of whom were executed by the dictatorial regimes in Iran.

Nasser Sadegh was a member of the PMOI leadership, and among the first group of PMOI members who were executed by the Shah’s secret service. Hassan Sadegh was among a group of PMOI leaders who were slain by the mullah’s regime in on May 2, 1982, during an attack on his residence in Tehran.
