Maryam Rajavi: Nuclear talks with Iranian regime are doomed to fail

Maryam  Rajavi: Negotiations with this regime are doomed to fail as it will only accept a package that contains a nuclear bomb

NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, said that the failure of current negotiations are already clear. It has been at least ten years that the game of providing incentive packages has failed. After 40 rounds of negotiations, is there any doubt that the mullahs’ regime is neither interested nor capable of an agreement on its nuclear program? Ironically, those countries seeking an excuse for continuing the appeasement policy are the ones that need to put forward such incentive packages.

She emphasized that Khamenei seeks nuclear weapons. Acquiring a nuclear weapon is intertwined with the existence of this regime and he would never forgo it. The only incentive package that Khamenei will agree to is one that includes his acquisition of a nuclear bomb.

Mrs. Rajavi stressed that the mullahs’ regime has been trying for years to deceive the international community through various means and to buy time to develop a nuclear bomb. Eleven years after exposing Arak and Natanz projects and eight years after exposing the Fordo project by the Iranian resistance, and after constant violations of the UN Security Council resolutions, the window for negotiations with this regime has closed. Continuation of the negotiations is akin to helping this regime to acquire a nuclear bomb and a deception aimed at the world community.

The President-elect of the Iranian Resistance added: “Strengthening the sanctions and making them comprehensive is a very necessary step to prevent this regime from acquiring a nuclear bomb, but the final and real solution to prevent the nightmare of the mullahs becoming nuclear, is regime change by the Iranian people and the Iranian resistance. Time is running out.”
