Maryam Rajavi calls on Southern Khorasan people to aid Zahan quake-stricken compatriots

NCRI- Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, while offering her condolences to bereaved sisters and brothers in Zahan and its villages, called on compatriots of Souther Khorasan province particularly the youth to rush to aid and rescue the people trapped beneath debris and the injured who are suffering from severe cold weather and homelessness.

Reminding previous bitter experiences in other parts of the country, Mrs. Rajavi described tremendous delay in providing assistance by the mullahs’ regime and its failure to employ necessary helicopters, machinery, vehicles and instruments to save the quake-stricken people and to evacuate them, as one of the reasons for increasing number of victims.

She added, “the mullahs who have plundered the whole wealth and income of the country, including the oil income and have spent them on nuclear and missile programs, the repression machine, meddling and war-mongering in Lebanon, Gaza and Iraq, should answer why Iran’s cities and villages are so vulnerable and defenseless such that there are so many killed and wounded due to a five and have Richter earthquake.”

Mrs. Rajavi offered her sympathy to all compatriots in Southern Khorasan, especially the stricken families and prayed for quick recovery of the injured.
