Mrs. Rajavi calls on the EU, the United States and the UN for an urgent action to prevent the attack; to lift the ultimatum and support UNHCR in its efforts to confirm refugee status of Ashraf residents
NCRI – According to reports from inside the clerical regimes’ Revolution Guards Corps , Iraqi forces under the command of Nouri Al-Maliki are completing a plan and preparing for a new attack against Ashraf to trigger a new bloodbath. They have also completed their training for the assault.
All the preoperational steps have been monitored by the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Khamenei and the terrorist Qods force.
Maliki, at behest of the Iranian regime, has been preparing the attack for months, by imposing an illegal deadline to close the camp at the end of 2011, and hence obstructing all efforts put to resolve the Ashraf crisis peacefully.
At an international conference at the European Parliament in Brussels today, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the Iranian Resistance, urged the international community, particularly the United States, the EU and the UN to take urgent action to prevent a new bloodbath against the Ashraf residents and to cancel the ultimatum in question. She also urged them to support the UNHCR by providing ample time to for the completion of the refugee status process of Ashraf residents.
The plot improvised by the Iranian mullahs to massacre the residents to be carried through by Maliki, will have catastrophic dimensions; much worse than the massacre of April 8, which had left 36 dead and 350 injured.
Mrs. Rajavi reiterated that after the massacre in July 2009 and April 2011, any injury inflicted on the residents of Ashraf will be the total responsibility of the United States and the UN.
Especially since the U.S. signed a protection agreement with each of Ashraf residents in exchange for their voluntary disarmament, accepting responsibility for their protection until final clarification of their situation.
Addressing the President and the Secretary of State of the United States, she added: Inaction and silence in face of a predictable crime would be to trample on all commitments, principles and values of the founding fathers of the United States. This does not fail to shock the conscience of humanity today and will forever be remembered.
Paying tribute to Mrs Ashton to have appointed a Special Representative Ashraf, she added that the time has come for the EU and its member countries to act immediately to stop the looming carnage.
Mrs.Rajavi said that the positioning of a permanent team of observers to the UN in Ashraf is an urgent imperative to prevent the killings.
She added that the mission entrusted to the government and Prime Minister of Iraq by the clerical regime is to exterminate the residents of Ashraf. Hence, Maliki, who is employing Tehran’s’ orders unconditionally, has blocked all peaceful efforts proposed in recent months to hamper in practical terms progress concerning all efforts by the European Parliament to resettlement Ashraf residents in third countries and also creating constant barriers for the UNHCR in their efforts to confirm refugee status of Ashraf residents.
