NCRI – According to reports obtained from inside the Iranian regime, the embassy of religious fascism ruling Iran has been assigned to hinder, through its agents in Iraq and by all possible means, the progress of attempts by the UNHCR, the European Union, the U.S. and other international organizations for peaceful resolving the Ashraf issue and get these efforts into stalemate.
Based on the reports, the Government of Iraq evades from cooperating with international parties in solving the issue of Ashraf. It has even refrained from dispatching its representatives to the joint committees it has already agreed with, because any progress in these committees’ work would lead to finding a peaceful solution for Ashraf, an issue that the Iranian regime opposes vigorously.
Reciprocally, with its separate relations with members of the said committees, the GoI attempt to prevent them from partaking in those committees not allowing the formation of the committees.
Via its agents in Iraq, the Iranian regime’s embassy in Iraq seeks to constantly obstruct activities of UNHCR for reaffirmation of Ashraf residents’ refugee status in a bid to implement its repressive plot for closure of Camp Ashraf which would undoubtedly prepare the ground for further massacres in Ashraf.
In a bid to implement this policy, the GoI has assigned Labeed Abbawi, Iraqi deputy Foreign Minister, to exhaust all his efforts to hinder all measures by the UN various bodies with regard to Ashraf and to not participate in the committees formed by these bodies.
In yet another move, Hajj Ali Navidi, the agent of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence in the regime’s embassy, has staged banquets for three successive days for a number of Iraqi merchants, engineers and clergies aimed at activating them in favor of mullahs’ regime’s interfering policies in Iraq. Most of the invitees refused to participate in the banquets.
