Iran Uprising – No. 41
The wave of arrests continues
Urgent call for the release of prisoners, dispatch of missions to visit the detainees and prevent their torture and execution
Terrified of the continuation of the Iranian people’s : “the Iranian people are oppressed& they have no other resolve than to revolt. The number of victims increases day by day &over 12000 have been arrested. . Crime against humanity during the November 2019 uprising is being led by the same officials responsible for the 1988 massacre.

Because many of the detainees face torture and execution, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), again urged the United Nations Security Council, the Secretary-General, the Human Rights Council and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well the EU and its member states to take immediate measures to stop the killings and suppression by the Iranian regime. She called on the UN to dispatch fact-finding missions to visit the prisons and the prisoners. Silence and inaction vis-à-vis these crimes against humanity only emboldens to the ruling mullahs to continue the killing, torture, and executions, she added.
