The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, July 4, 2021, that the Coronavirus in 547 cities had exceeded 322,600. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 75,416, Isfahan 21,800, Khuzestan 20,441, Khorasan Razavi 19,640, Lorestan 12,635, West Azerbaijan 11,973, Fars 10,852, Qom 9,900, Alborz 9,158, Sistan and Baluchestan 7,926, Kerman 7,453, Hamedan 6,918, Yazd 5,367, Semnan 5,335, Hormozgan 4,865, Bushehr 3,514, and Ilam 3,371.

Alireza Naji, a member of the NCCT Scientific Committee, told the state-run media, Jahan-e Sana’t, today, “The main overseer and responsible for controlling COVID-19 in Iran is the government. During these 16 months, the government and the Health Ministry failed in their duties and in controlling the disease.” Pointing to the main culprit for such a high COVID-19 death toll in the country, he added, “In my opinion, if such behavior continues, it must be intentional. So far, no proper quarantine has been applied in the country and Tehran. Lack of follow-up and control of the Coronavirus in the country has taken a deliberate form. The people cannot wait for the mass production of domestic vaccines, and the government must provide a valid vaccine as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will lose many people.”
