Iranian Resistance condemns bombings in Iraq, attacks on KDP and PUK HQ

iraq-bonbings-20130117NCRI – Iranian Resistance strongly condemns terrorist attacks against headquarters of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmato, and criminal explosions on Wednesday, January 16 in various parts of Iraq. It also expresses its sincere condolences to family members of victims and wishes a full and speedy recovery to the injured.

These brutal deeds are carried out in a bid to create an intimidation atmosphere to prevent expansion of growing popular uprisings in protest at torture, massacre, repression and meddling of religious fascism ruling Iran.

On January 15, Ayfan Saadun Al-Essawi, Member of Iraqi Parliament, along with a number of his companions were killed during a terrorist attack in Fallouja. His funeral ceremony on January 16 was also attacked and several people were injured.

Ahmad Abu-Risha, the head of the Awakening Council of Iraq, said in this regard, “Iranian regime’s tentacles, its criminal plots and terrorist organizations in our country are responsible for the assassination of Sheikh  Ayfan Al-Essawi as well as other patriotic figures among tribal sheikhs, clergies, political and popular personalities in Mosul, Diyala and Salahaddin. However, such terrorist attacks perpetrated by the parties that are supported by the Iranian regime… shall not dissuade people from continuing their sit-ins until their demands are fully met.”
