Iran Resistance leader hailed Iraqis for their successful elections

NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, hailed the Iraqi people, democratic and nationalist forces of that country for their victory in the parliamentary elections and vast popular participation.

Mrs. Rajavi said the spread of democracy from Tehran to Damascus is an utter necessity for establishing peace and stability in the region.
Mrs. Rajavi said one of the most outstanding characteristics of this election was the Iraqi people’s dismay at the Iranian regime and the rule of theocratic despotism.
She hoped that a democratic and independent government would result from the election.
