Following the hanging of Navid Afkari, the Iranian wrestling champion, defiant youths targeted centers of repression, plunder, and extremism, emphasizing that the only way to stop such executions is to rise up and revolt.
These activities included torching photos and banners of Khamenei and Qassem Soleimani, setting fire to the entrance to centers of training and spreading extremism and terrorism, and centers of plunder affiliated with Khamenei’s offices, as well as centers of the repressive Bassij forces in Tehran, Shiraz (Navid Afkari hometown), Isfahan, Ghaemshahr and Sari. These activities, which took place while the repressive clerical forces were on alert, have played a significant role in breaking the atmosphere of terror that the mullahs seek to impose on society.
