Iran Protests

NCRI - Political prisoner Mehdi Farahi Shandiz, held in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran, issued a statement calling on his fellow countrymen to boycott the upcoming presidential election.

After 38 years the regime has turned into nothing but destruction and the mullahs have brought nothing but poverty, unemployment and comprehensive corruption for the Iranian people, this statement adds.

This regime has wasted billions of the Iranian people’s wealth for terrorist meddling in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, he adds. The despotic regime of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is increasingly using torture and hangings, and has filled the prisons with freedom lovers whose only crimes are their beliefs.

Currently this regime is facing a very difficult decision called the elections, the statement adds. An election, with no freedom in Iran, is nothing but ruthless factions in rivalry for power and plundering, he continued.

Considering the abovementioned facts and this regime’s lack of domestic and international legitimacy, it appears a historical opportunity is before the Iranian people to raise their voice and say no this regime by staging a general boycott. This is obvious for each and every Iranian that both factions are of one, and therefore they must be aware of not falling for their games, he added.

Truly free elections hinges on the release of all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience, bringing an end to execution and torture, and people from all walks of life should be able to take part. Therefore, in the current conditions, the duty of every Iranian is to expand the protests and strengthen the justice movement. I call on all my countrymen to boycott this sham election and spread the spirit of resistance against the ruling dictatorship.

Now is the time to stand before dictatorship. It is through our resistance that this dictatorship will fall, he added. Only through expanding the teams and units of the National Liberation Army throughout our occupied country will this regime be terrified of us. This is the voice that can be heard in the speeches of Maryam Rajavi in a very victory voice.
